Peachtree strain Doja is now available on our online platform, Doja Direct. A well-known example of tragedy leading to triumph is the story of Peachtree. In the latter part of 2022. Rusty and I were halfway through our second joint seed production run in Northern California’s Gold Country. A male of the P41 a brother strain of the Piña Colato. Those few floor nugs were full of ripe and healthy Gelonade x P41 seeds. And the Gelonade was one of the receivers in the tent that had been chopped. We managed to preserve about fifty seeds. Which we then donated to a home grower in Los Angeles. Who had indicated interest in phenohunting some of our genes. I thought Chance would be the ideal person to select a winner from the few seeds. We were able to recover since. I had met him at our then-weekly Hollywood Blvd pop-ups and was impressed by his enthusiasm.

Chance and I met months later to choose a keeper after the seedlings had been backed up. Bloomed out, and cured. Although there was a great deal of variation across the many phenotypes. As is common with ordinary, non-feminized seeds, one statistic in particular caught my attention. The #9 was unlike anything I had ever smelt; it had a distinct character overall. However it had a nose that was similar to Gelonade. Like Gelato 41, the structure was dense, but it was fluorescent green with bright orange hairs.

Rusty and I chose to name this cut Peachtree after working with a few different sample batches. Starting with the distinctive lemonade citrus, the Peachtree swiftly shifts into a powerful fruity finish that incorporates Afternoon Pineapple flavours. When combined, this mélange gives the tongue a taste that is similar to that of a ripe peach or nectarine. The mild yet pleasant effect of the flavor-forward Peachtree makes it ideal for use during the day.
